About: the Carlo

The Carlo being built

The Carlo was built in our back yard at Cabbage Tree Creek. It took us four years to build her. My Dad organised the timber, the boatbuilders and materials. We now have a very strong, seaworthy vessel. Mum christened The Carlo named after Dad, then we gave her a shove with a drott and she slipped into the creek. It was a very proud moment. It was just a shame Dad was not alive to witness it.
